We are Grandly Strange
We make puppet films, puppet theatre... and puppets. We love stop motion animation, but all that moving things one frame at a time takes way too long. We're impatient. We want things to move NOW! So we do it real time instead.
Look down there. That's what we do.

The Incredibly Important Machine
At last, it's what humanity has been waiting for. This changes everything. You thought you knew all the answers? Think again. And again.
Coming soon to a public space near you (slight inclines and global pandemics permitting).
Grandly Strange was established during lockdown 2020 by puppet maestro, theatre director, street performer and designer Mr Marc Parrett.
Marc has been employed by numerous illustrious and internationally aclaimed organisations over the years, including Green Ginger, Aardman Animations, Bristol Old Vic, Travelling Light Theatre Company, Ramshaklicious, Pickled Image, Leeds Playhouse, Bird in the Hand Theatre Company, and My Pockets Films.
In 2005 he founded Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company and artistically directed a series of highly successful shows for family audiences including The Little Red Hen, Across the Deep Blue Sea, Three Little Pigs, The Elves and the Shoemaker and The Enormous Turnip before leaving in 2013. At that time Marc was also co-owner of the Lyric Theatre in Dorset.
